Low-Intensity Shockwave Therapy
Low-intensity shockwave therapy (LiSWT) uses acoustic sound waves to stimulate new blood vessel formation and tissue regeneration in genital tissue. It's the most studied non-surgical, non-pharmaceutical approach for erectile dysfunction — and the same mechanism is now being applied to female sexual function with meaningful results. No needles. No medication. No downtime.
For Men — GAINSwave®
Most ED is a blood flow problem. The small blood vessels in penile tissue become damaged or insufficient over time — through age, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or simply years of reduced circulation. Pills work around that problem. GAINSwave® addresses it directly by stimulating new blood vessel growth and tissue repair.
GAINSwave® is the most studied regenerative approach for ED. It is the only treatment of its type with a standardized protocol built specifically for this indication, and it is what most of the published research on LiSWT for ED is modeled on.
GAINSwave® + P-Shot™ — Why the Combination Works
GAINSwave® stimulates new blood vessel growth from outside — the acoustic energy creates the biological signal for angiogenesis. The P-Shot™ PRP delivers concentrated growth factors directly into the tissue — accelerating and amplifying that regenerative response from within. They work on the same problem through complementary mechanisms. Most men pursuing a comprehensive ED program at Revitalize Your Health do both. Shannon will recommend the right combination and sequence at your assessment.
For Women — GAINSwave for Her®
GAINSwave for Her® applies the same low-intensity acoustic wave technology to the clitoral and vaginal tissue — stimulating angiogenesis, nerve sensitivity improvement, and tissue regeneration. Non-invasive, no numbing required, 15–20 minutes per session.
The mechanism for women is identical to the mechanism for men: acoustic waves trigger controlled microtrauma, release angiogenic growth factors, and stimulate new blood vessel formation in the treated tissue. Reduced clitoral blood flow is a primary driver of decreased sensitivity, difficulty with arousal, and vaginal dryness — the same way reduced penile blood flow drives erectile dysfunction. GAINSwave for Her® addresses that directly.
GAINSwave for Her® + O-Shot®: GAINSwave for Her® and the O-Shot® address female sexual function through complementary mechanisms — shockwave from outside the tissue, PRP from within. Many women at Revitalize Your Health use both for a comprehensive approach. Shannon will recommend the right combination at your assessment.
Interstitial Cystitis: Emerging research (Long et al., Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, 2026) shows synergistic effects when combining shockwave therapy with PRP for interstitial cystitis and bladder pain syndrome. If you have been diagnosed with IC or chronic pelvic pain, mention it at your assessment — this may be relevant to your treatment plan.
The Procedure
No blood draw, no numbing required, no prep. You arrive and you're ready.
A handheld device delivers acoustic waves to the treatment area. For men, this is applied along the shaft and perineum. For women, it's applied externally to the clitoral and vaginal region. Sessions are 15–20 minutes.
No downtime. No restrictions. Most patients describe the sensation as a mild vibration or tingling.
GAINSwave® and GAINSwave for Her® are delivered as program packages — not individual sessions. During your assessment, Shannon will recommend the right program length based on your situation. Per manufacturer guidelines, per-session pricing is not offered.
