Shannon holds a Certified Continence Advisor designation — one of the few EMSELLA® providers in the Niagara region with specific clinical training in both urinary and fecal continence. EMSELLA® strengthens the entire pelvic floor including the anal sphincter complex. How It Works

EMSELLA® uses High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy to penetrate deep into the pelvic floor and stimulate supramaximal contractions — the kind of full-depth, maximal contraction that voluntary Kegel exercises cannot achieve.
A single 28-minute session delivers thousands of these contractions. Over a course of six sessions, the cumulative effect rebuilds the strength, coordination, and neuromuscular control of the pelvic floor in a way that exercise alone rarely achieves — especially in tissue that has been weakened by childbirth, menopause, age, or surgery.

EMSELLA® has the most robust device-specific clinical evidence of any pelvic floor treatment currently available. The mechanism is well-established: High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy induces supramaximal contractions — contractions at a depth and intensity that voluntary effort cannot achieve. A single 28-minute session delivers thousands of these contractions, producing the equivalent of thousands of Kegel exercises in terms of neuromuscular stimulus, but recruiting the deep pelvic floor in a way that voluntary Kegels typically cannot.
Across BTL’s standardized 6-session protocol, the large majority of patients report meaningful improvement in quality of life, better pelvic-floor awareness and coordination, and reduced reliance on pads. EMSELLA® + O-Shot® — the Comprehensive Pelvic Health Approach
EMSELLA® rehabilitates the pelvic floor through neuromuscular training. The O-Shot® PRP regenerates the tissue of the anterior vaginal wall and clitoral area — the tissue responsible for urethral support and sensory response. Together they address both the muscular and tissue components of pelvic floor dysfunction. This combination is the most comprehensive non-surgical approach to urinary incontinence and pelvic sexual function currently available.

The $300 physiotherapy assessment plus the first EMSELLA® session ($300) are paid at your first treatment appointment — $600 — ensuring the required documentation and reassessment are in place for benefit submission.

We do not direct bill insurance. You’ll receive a physiotherapy receipt to submit to your extended health provider. Before beginning, we recommend confirming the following with your provider:
- Your annual physiotherapy coverage limit

- Any per-visit maximums
- Whether coverage is 100% or percentage-based
- Your benefit year (calendar vs policy)
- Whether a physician prescription is required (not required by us, but some insurers request one)
