How payment works here — and how we help you get reimbursed and claim your care at tax time.
Payment is made at your appointment. Once you’ve paid, we give you a detailed medical receipt you can submit for reimbursement according to your own plan’s coverage. It’s simple, and there’s nothing to chase afterward.
Coverage for our services varies from plan to plan. Many extended health and benefit plans reimburse care like ours — in whole or in part — so it’s always worth submitting. Your receipt includes the details your provider needs. Because every policy is different, we can’t guarantee what your plan will cover, so we recommend confirming your specific coverage with your insurer or plan administrator.
Worth asking about: the EMSELLA® course can be delivered through our physiotherapy pathway, where that is clinically appropriate for you. Tax treatment and any reimbursement depend on the physiotherapy care actually provided and on the terms of your own plan, so we can’t promise either — but we will give you an itemized receipt for what you received. Your receipts are proper medical receipts. Medical expenses that qualify under the Canada Revenue Agency’s rules can often be claimed as part of the Medical Expense Tax Credit on your personal income tax return. Keep your receipts together for the year. Whether a particular expense is eligible depends on CRA rules and your personal situation, so check with the CRA or your accountant — but hold onto every receipt, because many patients are able to claim them.
