Male Sexual Function Optimization

The P-Shot™
(Priapus Shot)

Most men wait two or three years before getting help with erectile function. That's not stubbornness — it's the way this stuff works. It's private, it's tied up with identity, and the options most people know about don't feel like real solutions. The P-Shot™ is different. It uses your own blood — concentrated and reinjected — to restore the tissue and vascular function that drive erections. No pills every time. No surgery. No implants.

Who This Helps

What brings men here

Difficulty getting or maintaining an erection
Erections that are less firm than before
Reduced sensitivity or sensation
ED that isn't fully responding to medication
Peyronie's disease (curvature or plaque)
Post-prostate surgery erectile changes
Wanting to optimize sexual performance
Concerns about size or sensation

The Science

How PRP works in penile tissue

Erectile dysfunction is most commonly a vascular and neurological problem — the tissue doesn't receive adequate blood flow, and nerve signaling is impaired. Platelet-rich plasma contains concentrated growth factors that promote new blood vessel formation (angiogenesis), improve nerve conduction, and stimulate tissue regeneration in the treated area.

The P-Shot™ protocol, developed by Dr. Charles Runels, delivers PRP via direct injection into the corpus cavernosum — the erectile tissue. The protocol includes specific methods for PRP preparation, activation, and injection technique that distinguish it from generic PRP injections.

What the Research Shows A double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine (2021) — conducted by eight urologists at Aristotle University in Greece — found that PRP injections significantly improved erectile function scores, with more than two-thirds of men reporting meaningful improvement and zero procedural complications. A systematic review of PRP for erectile dysfunction (Matz et al., 2018) confirmed improvements in IIEF (International Index of Erectile Function) scores across multiple studies. PRP's mechanism is well-established: growth factors including PDGF, TGF-β, VEGF, and EGF stimulate angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation), Schwann cell proliferation (nerve repair), and smooth muscle regeneration in the corpus cavernosum. These are the same tissues that degrade with age, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes — making PRP a direct tissue-level intervention rather than a symptomatic workaround. The P-Shot™ protocol is the only trademarked, standardized PRP injection protocol for erectile dysfunction. Generic PRP injections by untrained providers are not the same procedure. Shannon holds Canadian Clinical Instructor certification for this protocol under Dr. Charles Runels. We will tell you honestly what the evidence supports — and whether you are a realistic candidate — before you spend a dollar.

The P-Shot™ vs. Generic PRP

Not all PRP injections are the same. The P-Shot™ is a trademarked protocol with specific requirements for PRP preparation, activation, injection site, volume, and technique — developed and refined by Dr. Charles Runels over a decade of clinical use and research. A provider injecting PRP into the penis without this training and certification is not performing the P-Shot™. When you see the name, verify the provider is listed on the official directory at pshot.info.

The Procedure

What happens at your appointment

1

Blood Draw

A small amount of blood is drawn — similar to a standard lab test.

2

PRP Preparation

Your blood is centrifuged using the Health Canada-approved MD Biologix system to concentrate the platelets and growth factors.

3

Numbing

A topical anaesthetic cream is applied to the penis and allowed 25+ minutes to take full effect. Most men are surprised — the procedure is far more comfortable than anticipated.

4

Injection

PRP is injected into the corpus cavernosum and glans per the Runels protocol. The injection takes only a few minutes.

5

Done — No Downtime

Post-procedure instructions are reviewed. No recovery period. Follow-up is at 4–6 weeks to assess response.

Results vary significantly depending on the underlying cause of ED, age, vascular health, and other factors. Shannon will give you a frank assessment of your candidacy at your first appointment.

Candidacy

Is the P-Shot™ right for you?

Likely a good fit

  • Vascular or age-related ED
  • ED that is partial or medication-dependent
  • Peyronie's disease (plaque, curvature)
  • Reduced sensitivity or sensation
  • Post-prostate treatment sexual changes
  • Wanting to optimize performance

We'll need to discuss

  • Neurogenic ED (nerve-based, post-surgery)
  • Active infection at the treatment site
  • Active cancer or chemotherapy
  • Severe thrombocytopenia
  • Anticoagulant medications (discuss, not excluded)

Peyronie's Disease

The P-Shot™ and Peyronie's disease

Peyronie's disease — fibrous plaque causing penile curvature, pain, or shortening — affects approximately 1 in 10 men and is significantly underdiagnosed because men don't report it. The P-Shot™ PRP protocol is used specifically for Peyronie's because PRP's growth factors promote tissue remodeling and fibroblast activity in the plaque itself. Combined with GAINSwave® shockwave therapy — which mechanically disrupts fibrous plaque — the combination approach is the most comprehensive non-surgical option currently available for Peyronie's. Results depend on the stage and severity of the disease; Shannon will give you an honest assessment of what is realistic for your specific situation before you commit to treatment.

Integrated Approach

We look at the full picture

ED is rarely just one thing. Vascular health, hormones, nervous system function, and pelvic floor all play a role. We frequently combine the P-Shot™ with:

GAINSwave® — shockwave therapy for blood vessel growth
Priapus Toxin™ — neuromodulator for performance
Hormone optimization (via Virtual Care)
EMSELLA® — pelvic floor strengthening for control
