After your active care

Maintenance — keeping what you worked for

Active Care is the phase where you make gains. Maintenance is the phase where you keep them. They are different goals, they run at different intensities, and knowing which one you are in tells you what your care should look like.

The two phases

Active Care, then Maintenance

Active Care is the working phase. Treatment runs at a deliberate cadence because you are trying to change something — blood flow, tissue health, pelvic-floor strength, symptoms. It has a beginning and an end.

Maintenance is what comes after you have reached your goals. The aim is no longer to improve; it is to hold what you have built. That means less frequent visits, and a plan shaped around how your body actually holds its results rather than a fixed schedule.

The honest version

Most regenerative and pelvic-floor gains are not permanent by default. Tissue, circulation and muscle respond to what you keep asking of them. Maintenance is how those results are held — not an upsell tacked onto the end.

The step in between

Your progress review

You do not slide from Active Care into Maintenance by default. There is a progress review first — a proper reassessment of what changed, what did not, and what your results actually look like now compared with where you started.

That review decides what happens next, and there are only really three honest answers:

If you want more improvement, maintenance is the wrong tool

Maintenance holds a result; it does not build a new one. If you are still chasing change, the right answer is a fresh assessment and a new active plan — not more maintenance sessions. We would rather tell you that than sell you visits that will not get you there.

What maintenance looks like

Your options

Maintenance is individualised. How often you come in depends on what you are maintaining, how your body holds results, and what you want out of it — not on a package everyone gets.

Maintenance may involve: periodic EMSELLA® sessions for pelvic-floor and continence results · periodic GAINSwave® sessions for vascular and tissue results · both in the same visit where that suits you · continued home-care work · periodic review to check you are still where you want to be.

No commitment

Individual maintenance sessions can be booked one at a time, with no package, no membership and no commitment beyond the appointment you book. If you want to come twice a year, come twice a year. If you want to stop, stop — and come back when it suits you.

If you completed a program

The Maintenance Benefit

Eligible sexual function programs include a Maintenance Benefit — an amount set aside toward your eligible maintenance care once your active program is complete. It is built into the program you chose, so there is nothing extra to buy and nothing to opt into.

Your exact benefit amount, what it can be applied to, and when it expires are confirmed in writing at your Care Plan & Next Steps Review, and again as you move into maintenance. The expiry runs from the date of your first treatment, so you will always know the date once your program has started.

What it is not

It is not cash, not store credit, not refundable and not transferable. It applies to eligible maintenance care here, and nothing else.

One last thing

Maintenance is not only what we do to you

The things that got you your result — circulation, pelvic-floor work, metabolic health, sleep, activity, medications, stress — are the same things that hold it. In-clinic maintenance supports that; it does not replace it. We will be straight with you about which part of holding your result is ours and which part is yours.

Not sure which phase you are in?

If you have finished a program, or you are not certain whether you have, a progress review will tell you where you actually stand.
