Hormone health and sexual function

Hormones are one of several things that can affect sexual function, bladder control and pelvic health — and often they are not the main one. This page explains how we think about that, what we assess and treat, and what we do not provide.

Revitalize Your Health does not provide hormone or metabolic medical management. We do not perform hormone assessments, we do not prescribe or monitor hormone replacement or testosterone therapy, and we do not provide medical weight management, GLP-1 management or PCOS care.

If you are already in one of our programs, nothing you have purchased has changed. Your agreement stands, and your care continues as arranged. If you have a question about your own program, please call us and ask — we will check your file and give you a straight answer.

Why we still talk about hormones

Sexual function, continence and pelvic health are rarely explained by any single cause. Blood flow and vascular health, pelvic floor muscle function, nerve function, medications, sleep, activity, stress, relationship context and general medical health all contribute — and so, sometimes, do hormones. Treating one factor as though it were the whole story tends to produce disappointment.

So hormones remain part of an honest conversation about what might be going on. What changed is that we no longer treat them. Where hormonal health looks like a relevant part of your picture, we will say so plainly and explain that it needs an independent medical assessment by a clinician who works in that area.

What we assess and treat

Our own care concentrates on two areas:

Within those areas we use focused shockwave therapy, EMSELLA® pelvic floor stimulation, PRP procedures, and other targeted treatments where they are clinically appropriate for the person in front of us — not automatically. We also provide individualized health teaching, and body composition assessment with InBody®.

What we do not do

Nothing here is a reason not to look into hormonal health if you want to. It simply is not a service we provide, and we would rather be clear about that than imply otherwise.

If you think hormones may be part of your picture

You are welcome to raise it. We can explain what hormones do and do not tend to account for, what an independent assessment usually involves, and how it might fit alongside anything we are doing with you. Where it is appropriate, we can point you toward independent medical assessment — and if we do, we will be clear that the decision, the assessment and any prescribing belong entirely to that clinician.

You do not need a hormone assessment to be seen here, and one is never a condition of our care.

Where to start

The first step is a complimentary consultation with our Care Coordinator. It is a conversation, not a clinical appointment: she will listen to what is bothering you, explain how we approach it, and help you understand the assessment and booking options. She does not diagnose, prescribe or make treatment decisions.

If it makes sense to go further, the next step is a paid comprehensive assessment with Shannon, within her professional scope, which looks at circulation, pelvic floor function, hormonal influences, your medical history and medications, and lifestyle factors together rather than one at a time. From there, any treatment or program is built around what was actually found and what you want to do about it.
