I am Registered Respiratory Therapist/Anesthesia Assistant and I am trained in and very familiar with proper use of PPE. I know how to ensure we are abiding by all the rules and regulations to ensure I’m providing a safe environment for all my clients.
After careful review of government guidelines, below are the measures necessary to keep everyone safe while providing your service.
1. Do you have new / worsening cough or shortness of breath (SOB)?

2. Are you feeling feverish, had shakes or chills in the last 24 hours?
Yes

3. Have you travelled outside of Canada (excluding travel from the US for work) in the last 14 days and/or been in direct contact with someone who has travelled (excluding coworkers travelling from the US for work) in the last 14 days?
Yes

4. Are caring for anyone who had contact with a person experiencing Acute Respiratory Illness (fever, cough, shortness of breath) and is covid-19 positive?
Yes
No
5. Do you have a new onset of any of the following:
Runny nose
Sore throat
Headache
Muscle aches
Nausea
Diarrhea
Loss of smell
Pre-screening for symptoms, exposure, and out of province travel for the previous two weeks will take place (see form below), temperature recorded
Clients are to cancel their appointment and stay home with symptoms of COVID-19, without a cancellation penalty
Clients with the following health conditions are encouraged not to book at this time: Chronic lung disease, Severe asthma, Serious heart conditions, Immunocompromised (undergoing cancer treatment, on immunosuppressant medications), Brittle diabetics, Kidney disease (dialysis), Liver disease or, Those who are pregnant or nursing
Service is strictly by appointment only
We will not be allowing visitors or children to accompany clients at this time
We will advise clients to use the bathroom at home prior to arriving for their appointment if, possible. If not, a restroom will still be available
We ask all clients that have a scheduled appointment to wait outside or in their car until the designated appointment time, the waiting room is no longer available
When you arrive for your appointment, please stay in your car and text or call that you have arrived. Once the previous client has left and the treatment room has been thoroughly disinfected, you will be called and asked several screening questions (shown below) once your screening is clear, you will be allowed to enter the clinic
We ask patients to leave their coat and all belongings at home or in the car
We will remind patients of the need to be on schedule and limit numbers in the clinic
Will wear scrubs/uniform that will be changed daily
Will Wear a mask, gloves & eye protection
Disinfect treatment/exam rooms thoroughly between patients
Stay home if displaying have symptoms of COVID-19 or a temperature over 37.3°
A sanitization station where incoming clients can disinfect their hands and don a mask and hand sanitize again
Your temperature will be taken and recorded. If you are febrile, your treatment will have to be cancelled.
We have removed all reading material from waiting room/area as it is no longer available
A buffer of 15 minutes between patients will be used
Amid the ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19, we have temporarily modified our cancellation policy to offer greater flexibility to all our clients over the next couple of months.
We hope this will alleviate any stress and hesitation you have about an upcoming appointment. If you need to reschedule for whatever reason, and especially if you are not feeling well, we understand and request for you to please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule
To further support you, there will be no penalties for cancellations
Due to COVID-19, we are temporarily limiting the number of daily appointments. The health and safety of our clients and staff is very important to us. For this reason, walk-in appointments will not be accepted and clients who are not currently receiving a service will be asked to step out in order to control the number of people within the clinic.
If you are experiencing a fever, cough, or sore throat, please reschedule your appointment for when you are no longer symptomatic. If you have been to a COVID-19 impacted area or have been in close contact with a person infected with COVID-19, we ask that you please reschedule your appointment for 14 days past the date of contact.
Please note, we are requesting that clients wear a face mask when they arrive for their appointments. If you do not have a mask, one is available to purchase for $2.00.
If you have a health condition and have problems wearing a face mask then you will NOT be required to wear it.
